Howdy,

These are the words I will be doing I'd say...

  • Fear
  • Desire
  • Lust
  • Wonder
  • Anxiety

Im not great at visualising what something will look like or be represented visually by reading about it so I have just been looking up short definitions of the words,to get an idea of what they mean and then looking up pictures that have been taken that represent the words and I have seen a few good ones and I have a few ideas of my own that I'd like to try.

What I have got from fear is that it is a vital response to physical or emotional damage and if we didn't feel it we wouldn't know when to protect ourselves from legitimate threats. People have began to feel fear in situations that are far from life-or-death, and thus hang back for no good reason.

I like the idea of maybe trying to do something with a fight or flight style picture, maybe with double exposers but i'll have to mess around with it first to see if it would look good or just gimmicky.

Desire seems more likely to be used to describe a want rather than a need. I think when it comes to desire I might look towards the more greedy side of desire rather than the kind you’d get when you really want dominos.

Online I found someone who said that greed and desire are more closely related than lust and desire. She also said that desire is the root of all evil…a tad bit dramatic but I like the idea of taking this point of view on the word.

Lust on the other hand seems to be more on the side of love, sex and physical attraction. It’s not sinful but natural. To me
desire appears to be the more powerful word, on the verge of being dangerous and corruptive. Lust seems more pure and human.

Wonder just makes me think of the innocents of kids and stuff but a definition online described it as a “feeling of amazement and admiration, caused by something beautiful, remarkable, or unfamiliar”. I was think something to do with some nice scenery or something but I haven’t decided anything yet.

One of the words that is used to define anxiety was uneasy. It seems like it should be straightforward but I’m having a hard time think of ideas for this but im not done researching and I will post more about it soon.
